Today in Chess: 2024 FIDE Candidates

The 2024 FIDE Candidates will determine the next challenger who will face FIDE World Champion Ding Liren in the 2024 World Championship match. Taking place in Toronto, Canada, from April 3-22, the tournament will feature eight of the world’s best players as they face off in a double round-robin format. In addition to the first prize qualification, the candidates will also be fighting for a total prize fund of €500,000. The Saint Louis Chess Club will be providing daily coverage of each round, starting with Round 1 on April 4th. The 2024 Today in Chess broadcast will feature the American grandmaster contenders Fabiano Caruana and Hikaru Nakamura and their race for the win.

The rounds will be broadcast live daily at 4PM CDT with Grandmasters Yasser Seirawan, Evegeny Miroshnichenko and International Master Nazi Paikidze.
